If you’ve ever been tempted to take part in the London Marathon, now is your chance to secure a lifetime’s ambition. We would love to welcome you to our Virgin London Marathon team for 2010.
Anyone can apply for a Gold Bond place in the London Marathon through the NAS. We welcome applications from all interested runners, whether you’re a seasoned marathon runner or whether you’re thinking about giving it a go for the first time!
In October we will select our team based on people’s links to autism and your fundraising ideas. If you are selected to run for the NAS you’ll receive our support all the way through the training and fundraising process and at the post-race reception, where you’ll enjoy a well-deserved shower, massage and refreshments. You’ll also receive a personalised NAS running vest.
The next London Marathon is on Sunday 25 April 2010. Each year we have a large group of runners taking part and so far they have raised an incredible £237,000 for the NAS. Each Gold Bond runner pledges to raise £1,600 and will receive fundraising advice to help them achieve this.
“It was without doubt one of the most amazing experiences of my life!” Participant, Flora London Marathon 2009
Your hard work will help to give people with autism and their families support and services that they can access, trust and rely on, and which will make a positive difference to their lives.
Please call Rachel on 020 7903 3529 or email events@nas.org.uk for further information or to request a fact sheet and application form.
