The Department of Health is looking for four people in England to join the National Adult Autism Programme Board.Â
They want to find two adults with autism and two parents or carers of adults with autism to join the Board.
The National Adult Autism Programme Board was set up following the publication of the adult autism strategy for England, ‘Fulfilling and Rewarding Lives’.
The Board’s role is to oversee the implementation of the strategy. It is a high level group co-chaired by the Minister of State for Care Services, Paul Burstow, and the Director General of Adult Social Care at the Department of Health, David Behan.
Being a member of the Board is a fantastic opportunity for influencing the implementation of the strategy and the direction of the Government’s adult autism programme.
