Brendan’s work to go on display again

Published Date: 14 October 2009

THE work of Belper artist Brendan Keeley is to go on show at an exhibition for the second year running.

Boundless – Connecting Artists is an annual exhibition which introduces disabled artists to the public and the wider artistic community by exhibiting their work alongside mainstream artists in established arts venues.

This year’s Boundless, which runs for four weeks in November at the Grant Bradley Gallery in Bristol, has attracted national attention, and will feature in the Guardian and the Saatchi gallery magazine.

Brendan, 22, was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome and dyslexia when he was 18. He has been working as a freelance cartoonist and illustrator for the past three years, his work appears regularly in magazines and he takes commissions for personalised Christmas cards and logos.

His Christmas cards and prints of his work will be sold at Long Row School on November 27 at its ladies’ Christmas shopping evening and at Woodlands School, in Allestree, for a Christmas fair on November 14.

Examples of Brendan’s work can be seen by logging onto www.brendankeeley.co.uk
