ART

Seth Chwast

Seth Chwast was diagnosed with autism as a very young child, and lived for years in a world of roller coasters, haunted houses, and classical music. A dramatic change came in 2003, when at age 20 he took an oil painting class at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Seth, who rarely speaks, began describing his world in paint.

NAS/LEGO logo
For Lego lovers the world over, 2008 marks the 50th birthday of the Lego brick. Its success has been duly recognized by industry and trade associations alike. Just before the turn of the millennium the Lego brick was voted “Toy of the Century”, one of the highest awards in the toy industry, by both Fortune Magazine in the US and the British Association of Toy Retailers.
Lego Indy
To celebrate fifty years of the LEGO® brick, NAS partner LEGO UK has organised a fantastic touring roadshow, Follow the LEGO brick road. One of the features of the show will be a giant LEGO mural, which the public can help to build in exchange for a donation to the NAS.

The roadshow will be touring the country, appearing at some of the UK’s top attractions, from summer. We are looking for volunteers from several areas across the UK – including Wales, Essex, Cambridge and Milton Keynes – to give a day of their time to help us collect these vital funds. For more information on dates and locations or to offer to help, call 020 7923 5709 or email daniel.read@nas.org.uk

LEGO Batman & Co

Over the next two years LEGO UK and their staff will be aiming to raise £80,000 to build a fantastic new playground at the NAS Radlett Lodge School in Hertfordshire.

To enjoy the Official LEGO website:

Or to visit Legoland:

Hope you enjoyed the read.

Take Care,

Julie
